Electronic Identification for Public Services


In 2016 Bulgarian Parliament passed a new bill on electronic identification, aiming to digitalize public administration services and making them faster and more accessible for people. The so-called Electronic Identification Act was passed with a delayed effect and shall enter into force gradually, allowing the state to have enough time to implement the hard-and software needed for the functioning of the entire system.
