Last year, INSOL International together with the World Bank Group published the Global Guide: Measures adopted to support distressed businesses through the COVID-19 crisis.
In the ongoing pandemic crisis situation, many countries have introduced emergency measures to minimise the adverse impact on their economies. Governments have focused on introducing more permanent legal and financial reforms and in particular - new insolvency reforms. To reflect these new developments, the Global Guide was updated and now covers 80 countries of which 26 are new additions.
Kambourov & Partners was once again selected by INSOL International and the World Bank Group as the Bulgarian contributor in the preparation of the 2021 update of the Global Guide on the Measures adopted to support distressed businesses through the COVID-19 crisis. Hristina Kirilova and Ivo Alexandrov were responsible for the Bulgarian section of the Guide, including an overview of government policy responses, legislative reforms for financially distressed companies, financial and regulatory measures, specific measures for micro and small businesses, measures introduced by courts to deal with increased insolvency cases and other aspects. You can find the Guide's interactive world map here and click to see country-specific measures.
