Kaufland’s new 52th store in the country officially opened its doors on Wednesday 8 April in Asenovgrad in central southern Bulgaria.
The retail chain continues its successful presence on the Bulgarian market and the rapid expansion of its coverage. The new store covers an area of over 2000 sq.m. and a parking zone of 157 parking spots. It offers the chain’s standard assortment of more than 20 000 products, including its own trademark - K-Classic. A 100 job opportunities were created as part of Kaufland's investment.
The new store includes a modern bakery offering customers a wide variety of freshly baked goods. In addition to the food and beverage selection, the hypermarket offers electric kitchen appliances, textile, office supplies, toys, garden furniture and equipment.
The firm’s Real Estate team, led by partner Atanas Shopov, assisted Kaufland Bulgaria through the entire development and construction of the store, including property acquisition, drafting and conclusion of design and construction agreements, as well as assistance through land urbanization activities, including regulatory issues and change of land status.
